POST-WEBINAR NEWS FOR TRANSFORM BY iCENTRA, OCTOBER 2026

Most organizations do not struggle because they lack strategic ambition. The challenge lies in translating that ambition into coordinated action, measurable outcomes, and sustained enterprise performance.

This challenge took center stage at iCentra’s October edition of the Transform Webinar Series, titled “Strategy into Action: Closing the Execution Gap Between Strategy and Delivery.”

Held on October 29, 2026, the session examined why organizations with sound strategies still struggle with execution and explored the structural, governance, and alignment challenges that prevent strategic intent from translating into enterprise-wide results.

The discussion introduced the 4P Alignment Architecture™ as a framework for connecting Portfolio, Project, Product, and People to strategic intent. Speakers explored the importance of investment prioritization, delivery governance, value realization, organizational capability, and leadership alignment in ensuring that strategy translates into sustained performance.

Distinguished Speakers
The high-impact session featured expert perspectives from:
• Taopheek Babayeju — CEO, iCentra
• Stuart Easton — C0-Founder and CEO, TransparentChoice
• Vanessa Mbanefo — Digital Transformation & Automation Leader, Anderson Consulting

The conversation was moderated by Lum Ambe, Senior Manager Learning & Talent, iCentra, who guided the speakers through critical themes around strategic alignment, portfolio prioritization, execution governance, organizational capability, decision-making, and value delivery.

Key Insights from the Speakers
Taopheek Babayeju - Enterprise Alignment, Strategy & Execution
Taopheek emphasized that the fundamental challenge facing many organizations is not strategy or execution in isolation, but the disconnect between the two.
He highlighted the critical role of portfolios in connecting strategic ambition to execution, ensuring that organizations are not merely doing things right but are also doing the right things.
He further stressed that many organizations are not structurally designed to execute. Effective transformation requires an organizational architecture that connects strategic aspirations, ideas, investments, and execution.
He also emphasized the importance of establishing a shared understanding of value across the enterprise. When different functions operate with conflicting interpretations of value, alignment becomes difficult and strategic outcomes suffer.

Stuart Easton - Portfolio Prioritization & Strategic Investment
Stuart Easton highlighted the importance of building a bridge between vision, strategy, and execution.
He explained that strategy and delivery must operate as a two-way process. While strategy defines the desired outcomes, delivery must provide feedback on what is achievable based on available resources, skills, and capabilities.
He emphasized the importance of continuous portfolio prioritization, ensuring that organizations invest in the right initiatives and adapt their portfolios as business conditions and strategic priorities evolve.
He further noted that effective execution requires more than strategic ambition. It demands realistic planning, informed investment decisions, and alignment between organizational capacity and strategic objectives.

Vanessa Mbanefo - Governance, Data & Execution Readiness
Vanessa Mbanefo highlighted governance and difficult decision-making as critical factors in translating strategy into execution.
She emphasized the importance of organizational data and analysis in building a compelling business case for strategic initiatives. Without access to reliable data and a clear understanding of expected outcomes, leaders may struggle to secure the executive support and direction required for successful execution.
She further noted that many of the difficult questions and decisions emerge during execution, reinforcing the need for evidence-based decision-making, leadership alignment, and strong governance from the outset.

What Participants Learned
The session provided practical and strategic insights into:
• Why the execution gap is often a structural and organizational challenge rather than a lack of effort
• How portfolios connect strategic ambition to execution
• Why organizations must continuously prioritize investments and reassess initiatives
• The importance of aligning strategy with available resources, skills, and capabilities
• How governance and decision-making influence execution outcomes
• Why reliable organizational data and business cases are essential for securing executive support
• The importance of establishing a shared understanding of value across the enterprise
• How the 4P Alignment Architecture™ connects Portfolio, Project, Product, and People to strategic intent

From Strategic Ambition to Sustained Enterprise Performance
A central message from the session was clear: strategy is a plan, but alignment is the infrastructure that makes the plan executable.
Organizations must move beyond developing strategies and measuring activities to building systems that connect strategic priorities, investments, delivery, governance, and organizational capabilities.
The discussion reinforced the need for leaders to continuously assess their execution architecture, make informed trade-offs, strengthen accountability, and ensure that the entire enterprise works towards shared strategic outcomes.
Ultimately, closing the execution gap requires organizations to be deliberately designed for alignment, execution, and sustained value creation.
